My last post was in early 2019. Which seems a lifetime ago. In the last few years, we survived a pandemic, were forced to move when our home was severely damaged in a natural disaster, and also had to suddenly pull our horses from the facility where we'd boarded for over a decade. We've since bought a new house and helped design and create a horse setup on a friend's land. In short, we've been rebuilding in more than one sense of the word.
It has been a lot of change. But it has all been good. We're in a better place now than we've ever been in our lives. I am still writing. I have finished the first draft of my epic fantasy series. It's four books and over a million words long. I intend to get going with publishing at some point in the near future. But it's a big project and it will take the time it takes. I am working on a variety of shorter and simpler things in the meantime.
I do miss blogging and the internet of old. Social media has run its course for me and being online in general is something I avoid when I'm not working. I'm going to try to update this blog a bit more regularly though. Word counts and project lists are current for the moment.
